Who wants to treat themselves to a night in the Louët Island lighthouse?

We prefer to warn you in advance, you will have to be on time and count on luck. Because every year, reservations to spend a night or a weekend on Louët Island, in Finistère, sell out in just a few minutes. Last year, all the slots offered to stay in the former house of the island’s lighthouse keeper were booked in just four minutes. This year, reservations will open on Friday to 10 a.m. sharp with a rate of 408 euros per night spent in the gîte, which can accommodate up to ten people.

Rentals from the beginning of April to the end of October

Located in the bay of Morlaix, opposite the Château du Taureau and the heavenly beach of Tahiti in Carentec, Louët Island has been welcoming tourists in search of adventure and disconnection for fourteen years from the beginning of April to the end of October. “The comfort is simple but complete,” indicates the Morlaix Bay tourist office, specifying that showers are done with cold water and that water and electricity must be used “sparingly.”

In Brittany, it is also possible to sleep in the Kerbel lighthouse or that of the Virgin Island. For the latter, reservations for the year 2024 will start on Tuesday December 5 at 10 a.m.
