Fans of Günther Jauch should also use the RTL+ streaming service this Monday evening – because of a postponed NFL game.

The NFL game between the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers has been postponed until Monday due to a heavy snowstorm in New York State. For this reason changes RTL’s program on Monday evening (January 15th). The playoff game of the North American Football League will be broadcast on RTL from 10:20 p.m. – with implications for fans of the popular knowledge show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?”.

“Who wants to be a millionaire?” switches to RTL+ within the broadcast

Fans of Günther Jauch (67) were originally expecting an XXL edition of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” this Monday evening. The popular show was scheduled to be on air from 8:15 p.m. to 11:20 p.m., only interrupted by the news program “RTL Direkt”. But the rescheduling of the NFL playoffs has now also resulted in some changes to the Cologne private broadcaster’s program in this country.

RTL will begin its preliminary reporting on the postponed football game from 10:20 p.m. The end of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” can therefore only be seen on RTL’s streaming service RTL+. Viewers without an existing subscription to the streaming service only have to register there and do not have to take out a paid subscription in order to see the last part of the show, as stated in a press release from the Cologne broadcaster.

“RTL Direkt” is canceled on Monday evenings, as is “RTL Nachtjournal”. Following the wildcard game between the Steelers and Bills, RTL will show the game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Philadelphia Eagles from 1:45 a.m., which concludes the first round of this year’s NFL playoffs.

The RTL program also changes on Tuesday

Three programs that were originally supposed to be broadcast on RTL on Monday evening will be postponed to Tuesday due to the football broadcast: “Spiegel TV”, “Everyday Fighter – That’s How Germany Ticks” and “Switching Sides – Seeing the World with Different Eyes”. on January 16th at the times scheduled for January 15th, i.e. at 11:20 p.m., 12:35 a.m. and 1:15 a.m.

Due to these changes, “Extra – Das RTL Magazin” will be shortened by 40 minutes on Tuesday evening and will end at 11:20 p.m. instead of midnight the media magazine “DWDL” reported. In addition, one episode each of the series “CSI: Miami” and “CSI” has been omitted from the night program.
