White plan in all the Grand-Est, the emergencies of Metz and Nancy saturated

The fifth wave of coronavirus continues to swell the numbers in intensive care units. In the Grand-Est, the ARS asked, according to
Lorraine News, to all hospitals to trigger the white plan, making it possible to mobilize more staff and to deprogram non-emergency hospitalizations, to prepare for “an influx of patients”. The hospitals of Strasbourg, Mulhouse, Colmar or even Nancy had anticipated the request of the ARS.

This regional white plan comes at a time when the emergencies of certain hospitals, such as Metz and Nancy, are totally saturated. On Twitter, the Metz-Thionville CHR and the Nancy CHRU invite you to call 15 and “give priority to consultations with the attending physician” before going to the emergency room. The Grand-Est thus becomes the ninth region to trigger a generalized white plan.

On December 6, the ARS of the Grand-Est had already launched to all caregivers to come as reinforcements to the care establishments. In mainland France, only Brittany, Normandy and New Aquitaine have not yet decided to apply this system to their entire territory.
