More secret documents have been found on US President Joe Biden – this time in the garage of his home in Wilmington. They come from his time as Vice President under Barack Obama.
In the search for government documents, more secret documents were found in a garage owned by US President Joe Biden from his time as Vice President. The “small number of additional documents” marked as classified were discovered in storage in the garage of Biden’s home in Wilmington, Delaware, said Richard Sauber, a legal adviser to Biden. Another document was therefore in an adjacent room between stored materials.
No records were found at Biden’s home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. After previously finding other such documents in a Washington office formerly used by Biden, Sauber had said that other places to which documents might have been sent had been checked.
Investigations against Trump
The case could pose problems for Biden and complicate the Justice Department’s deliberations on whether to file government document preservation charges against Biden’s predecessor, Donald Trump, who plans to run again in the 2024 election.
The Department of Justice has been investigating against this for months for the storage of about 300 documents classified as confidential or secret that were secured at Trump’s property in Florida. FBI officials had executed a search warrant there in August.
