“White Collection”: Dreams in white: More than 50 rare Porsches are being auctioned – the highlights

The “White Collection” has been known to Porsche fans for years. In 2018, a video emerged showing a white hall with gray parking spaces, with one Porsche next to another. In between there are white chairs, white tables, white sofas – and every now and then a red accent, for example an old Porsche tractor or flame-red rims.

Who built the collection is unknown for a long time. Where it is – also unknown for a long time. Now it slowly becomes clear: He is a Texan. The specialist magazine “Radical Mag” even wants to know who exactly is behind the collection.

From vintage cars to Porsche super sports cars, everything is there

What is important is not who sells the cars, but rather which vehicles will soon be available. At the beginning of December, the RM Sotheby’s auction house will open the “White Collection” with a total of 566 lots. The centerpiece of the two-day auction will be 63 vehicles, including two tractors.

Almost every Porsche classic is there, but you have to like the color. Very few cars are not white. “Radical Mag” also explains that the estimated prices of some exhibits are too high. The fact is: the hearts of Porsche enthusiasts with deep pockets will undoubtedly beat faster. The most expensive car in the auction is a Porsche 918 “Weissach” Spyder, the oldest representative is a Porsche 356 “Pre-A” 1500 America Coupe from 1953.

Many of the cars, which are all in absolute top condition, have hardly been driven. In particular, the examples that were purchased directly from Porsche by the owner of the collection have not moved 20 kilometers for years. However, damage to the vehicle is unlikely to occur – because the cars were started regularly and upcoming service appointments were kept.
