The equivalent of 2.5 million euros. This is the price achieved by a single bottle of whiskey at the Sotheby’s auction house in London on Saturday. According to the auction house, the interested parties are said to have engaged in a real “bidding war” until a new world record was set at the end. It is therefore the highest sales price ever achieved for a bottle of wine or spirits. A single 20 milliliter shot of the whiskey would cost the previously unknown buyer 66,666 euros if he actually drinks it. Truly not for the poor.
