On Monday, a 67-year-old retiree was gardening quietly at home in Saint-Gaudens, south of Haute-Garonne, when he heard a snap before feeling a sharp pain in his back. He quickly realized that he had just been hit by a pellet rifle shot and when he turned he saw two men on a nearby balcony.
Quickly, the sexagenarian called the police to tell them what had just happened to him and told them his suspicions about the origin of the shooting. The police therefore went to the neighbor in question, who had a lead rifle at home. The latter, with whom the retiree had had small neighborhood disputes, was placed in police custody.
This 28-year-old man, suspected of being involved in another case for which he was the subject of a search form, explained during his hearing that he had not knowingly targeted the victim, that he it was an involuntary act. He was the subject of a penal composition and was released.
