When will it be paid and how much will you receive?

With the adoption of the bill on purchasing power, the back-to-school allowance (ARS) was increased by 4%. In the coming days, eligible parents will be able to receive this aid. However, this last-minute revaluation led to some changes in the payment schedule, as stated on the government website.

When will the ARS be paid?

This year, the ARS will indeed be paid in two instalments. First of all, a first payment, which includes the amount of the allowance without the revaluation, will be sent on Tuesday, August 16. For the inhabitants of Mayotte and Reunion, this first payment has already taken place.

Then, at the beginning of September 2022, the parents will receive the amount of the revaluation, i.e. the additional 4%.

What amounts?

In total, the ARS has been increased by 5.8% since 2021. Its amount is now 392.05 euros for children aged 6 to 10, 413.69 euros for children aged 11 to 14 and 428.02 euros for teenagers aged 15 to 18 who are still in school.

To benefit from it, a family must not exceed a certain ceiling of resources in 2020, i.e. 25,370 euros for one dependent child, 31,225 euros for two dependent children, 37,080 euros for three dependent children and 42,935 euros for four dependent children. .

What steps?

In the case of children aged 6 to 15, parents already registered with the CAF do not have to take any steps to obtain the ARS. Those with a child under the age of six entering CP must send a school certificate to the CAF.

Finally, parents of teenagers aged 16 to 18 must confirm online whether their child is still in school, studying or learning.
