Humor at the Prince’s Trust Awards: Presenter Declan Donnelly and DJ Tyler West brought King Charles III. to laugh.

King Charles III (75) was once again in good spirits at Buckingham Palace after returning to work since battling cancer. On Wednesday (May 22nd) he couldn’t suppress his laughter during a meeting with British presenter Declan Donnelly (48) and DJ Tyler West (28).

The 75-year-old king hosted a reception for the winners of the 20th Prince’s Trust Awards at the palace. During the reception, Charles asked presenter Donnelly, who was accompanied by his wife Ali Astall (45), where his right hand was. According to the British “Daily Mail” the king asked why his colleague Anthony McPartlin (48) could not take part in the event.

Unusual welcome for King Charles

Donnelly is said to have joked that he was “too busy breastfeeding” after he had his first child with wife Anne-Marie a week ago – a son named Wilder. This apparently made the king smile. He sent his congratulations to the new father.

TV presenter and DJ Tyler West also took part in the celebrations. However, he refrained from the traditional handshake with the king and instead greeted him with a fist bump, which visibly amused the British monarch.
