When eggshells allow the gendarmes to go back to the vandals

On January 25, several motorists traveling on the A20 motorway saw eggs land on their windshields, thrown from a bridge spanning the main road, at Caussade, in Tarn-et-Garonne. This stoning does not cause any accident, but the gendarmes of the Departmental Road Safety Squadron are warned. They decide to launch an investigation for endangering others and degradation of property, relates The Midi Dispatch.

On the spot, the soldiers will find empty cardboard boxes, and shells, where the codes of the producer are registered. This is the starting point of their investigations. They will thus go up the marketing circuit of these eggs transformed into projectiles. After going back to the producer, they were able to find the store where these boxes had been sold. And the surveillance videos of this supermarket allowed them to learn that half an hour before their package, a young man and three other people bought no less than 80 eggs, before leaving by car.

The gendarmes were able to follow the trail to the address of the young buyer from Caussade and arrest him. According to the regional daily, the latter is summoned next week for a criminal composition. His acolytes, aged 14 to 16, are summoned on Monday for a criminal reparation measure.
