Eleonore extracted from the Parisian cesspool

For this first episode of this season, make way for the true story of the discovery of a crocodile in the sewers of Paris. The story begins in 1984, after calls from the city’s sewer service warning the firefighters of the 1st arrondissement of the presence of a large reptile in the capital’s sewers. On March 7, a young female crocodile, measuring 70 to 80 centimeters, will be extracted from the Parisian cesspool where she was able to survive. The story of the crocodile named Eleanor will later become a rumor, then a legend.

All this story told by Mathilde Cousin, journalist in the fact-checking service “Fake Off” of 20 minutes, to listen in the player above.
