It’s been clear for a week and a half that Vice Germany is coming to an end. Editor-in-chief Tim Geyer announced it, of course on X. He writes that from the end of March there will no longer be any German-language content on the platform and that between 40 and 50 employees will be affected. And then: “Sorry guys.” Now it’s clear: Not only Vice Germany is about to end, the entire vice.com website is crushed. The American digital publisher Vice Media has to save money. There isn’t much left of Vice, which was once predicted to have a great future.
