A separation that would have gone very badly. This is the scenario that seems to be emerging following the confessions of Tatiana B., ex-partner of the thirty-year-old found burned in the property where he lived, in Lesponne, about thirty kilometers south of Tarbes, in the Hautes-Pyrénées. The young woman, taken into custody Thursday afternoon, admitted to having shot a hunting rifle, accidentally according to her, at her ex-companion Benjamin Arnauné.
Tatiana B., 36, arrested on Thursday, a little before 2 p.m., was indicted for murder and placed in pre-trial detention by the judge of freedoms and detention, in accordance with the requisitions of the Pau public prosecutor’s office and the order of the investigating judge.
Death by gun
A 45-year-old man was initially arrested and taken into police custody, with the possibility of arson already being considered. Circumstances to be clarified
The shot was fired, according to the accused, during an argument which broke out between the two protagonists on the night of December 29 to 30. Noticing that the victim was no longer breathing after the gunshot, she said she panicked and decided to set the house on fire using a bottle of gasoline. Considering taking her own life, she finally changed her mind before leaving the scene.
