There hasn’t been a lack of wind over the past few days, and the operators of the only wind turbine in the district should have been happy. In addition to electricity, the wind also provides varied views, such as here on the Wendelstein in front of a cloudy panorama. The wind is probably also the reason why there is less and less white to be seen in the mountains, the snow that was not so plentiful this year has already melted quite a bit, at least in the first row of the Alps. This is likely to continue in the coming days, with temperatures rising into double digits over the course of the week. Towards the weekend it should be a little more seasonal and maybe even some snow. But it won’t stay long, as the trend is clearly heading towards spring from next week.
