Cold, wet weather and a lot of wind at the end of the week: In northern Bavaria, people have to be prepared for snowfall and rain – it will be stormy in the Alps. The German Weather Service (DWD) warned on Wednesday of severe gusts of wind between 90 and 110 kilometers per hour, and hurricane gusts of up to 130 kilometers per hour are also possible on the summits.
Especially in Franconia it should stay rainy until the weekend. According to the DWD, the sun only shows up on Saturdays. Temperatures are expected to drop again this weekend. Snow falls at times, but it shouldn’t stay put. Snowfall is also possible in Upper Bavaria.
According to the forecast, the rainy weather will initially continue in the new week, but the temperatures will probably rise again.
