“We remain hopeful” of finding survivors, says Miami-Dade County mayor

The research continues. On the third day of research after the spectacular collapse of a building near Miami, the authorities said this Saturday to keep “hope” of finding survivors.

“We remain hopeful. We are continuing the research. We are looking for people living in the rubble, it is our priority and our teams have not stopped ”, assured the mayor of Miami-Dade County, Daniella Levine Cava, during a press conference.

159 people still missing

“No new victim has been found,” she added, adding that the toll remained the same as the day before, namely four dead and 159 people missing.

Rescue operations are particularly difficult due to a fire that broke out on the site and that firefighters are trying to control, said Daniella Levine Cava.
