We now know a little more about the death of Marwan Berreni, the actor of More beautiful life whose body was discovered on October 12 in a barn in Corcelles-en-Beaujolais, commune of Beaujolais (Rhône). In a press release sent this Friday, the Villefranche-sur-Saône public prosecutor’s office confirms that the young man killed himself by hanging himself.
“The findings made during the autopsy are compatible with a violent death by hanging, with no evidence to raise suspicion of the intervention of a third party,” explains prosecutor Laëtitia Francart. The hypothesis according to which the actor would have ended his life at the beginning of August, a few days after the accident he is suspected of having caused while leaving a nightclub, is now privileged. The only certainties: the actor had not taken any “medicinal or narcotic substance”. On the other hand, the analyzes do not make it possible to say whether he was alcoholic at that time.
A procedure closed without further action
The procedure to find out the causes of his death was therefore dismissed by the public prosecutor of Villefranche-sur-Saône on the grounds of the absence of an offense.
On the evening of August 3, a woman was hit by a 4X4 vehicle subsequently identified as that of Marwan Berreni. The car was discovered two days later in the village of Fleurie, five kilometers from where the actor’s body was found.
