One, two, three … It’s zero. Marvel has announced the highly anticipated movie titles for the next two years. Rather than Black panther 2, we will be entitled to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,
expected for July 8, 2022. And instead of Captain marvel 2, it will be necessary to monitor the arrival of The Marvels, November 11, 2022.

These names are not just cosmetic. In the case of Black panther, it indicates a larger plot and encompassing many characters, after the death of the main actor of the first part Chadwick Boseman. In the case of The Marvels, this plural introduces a strong female cast too, made up of at least two superheroines, Captain Marvel / Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) and Ms. Marvel / Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani).

Marvel Studios also announced the arrival of the film Black widow in theaters, after long months when the news of the franchise took place only on the Disney + streaming platform. Side sequels to come, the new opus of Spider-Man, Spider-Man No Way Home, will be released before Christmas, December 17, 2021. The Doctor Strange, Ant-Man and the Wasp but also the Guardians of the Galaxy will return in March 2022, February 2023 and May 2023 respectively.

New heroes in phase 4

With its Phase 4, the MCU is about to enter a new era. The promotional video unveiled on Monday also includes images of The Eternals directed by recent Oscar winner for Best Director and Best Picture for Chloe Zhao Nomadland, which is scheduled for release on November 5.

Marvel’s heroes will also host September 1, 2021, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, a Chinese superhero played by Sim Liu, created in 1973.
