We infiltrated the shooting of the remake of “Gladiator” in Provençal

Emperor Covidus rushes onto the stage of the Théâtre de Verdure in Gémenos, which looks like a Roman theater, and harangues the imaginary crowd… in Provençal. This Thursday, the
Jobastres, a Provençal creation and production agency created by two friends, was filming a new episode of their series “Zoù… m” near Marseille.

The principle ? Carry out remakes in the Provençal language of cult films, in order to promote this traditional language to as many people as possible, which would be spoken by 100,000 people around Marseille. After Star wars or Titanic, Romain Borelli and Hugo Balique tackled the peplum Gladiator, shot with the song of the cicadas as a soundtrack. In this adapted version available before the end of the month, the Emperor comes to face Saint-Eloi, a typical Provencal figure.
