“We knew the Puy du Fou, now we have the Fou du Puy”. Thanks to this sentence pronounced by Éric Piolle last October about Laurent Wauquiez, the EELV mayor of Grenoble received on Tuesday the “Revelation 2023” prize from the “Press club, humor and politics” competition. The green elected official was speaking to the former mayor of Puy-en-Velay, and current president of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, after his announcement to remove the region from the “zero net artificialization” system. On X (ex-Twitter)Éric Piolle dedicated his victory to the “Wauquists”.
The “Grand Prize” was awarded to Édouard Philippe. In total, eleven categories rewarded French political figures who “pronounced the funniest sentences of the year, whether voluntary or involuntary humor”.
