Waiter, truck driver … these jobs whose salaries will increase

This law of supply and demand could bear fruit, particularly in the hotel and catering sector. The main professional organization in the sector, the Union des Métiers des Industries de l’Hôtellerie (Umih), thus offers unions to negotiate for increases of 6 to 9% and a possible 13th month.

For example, this director of the Fuxia restaurant in Brest, whom TF1 meets in the report at the top of this article, has increased all of its employees by 8%. Despite everything, she took four long months to recruit the waiters, and a second pizzaiolo position is still vacant, explains Florence Christmann in the report at the head of the article. Despite this impasse, there is no question for her to further increase the proposed salary. In front of potential candidates, however, she puts forward other arguments: “Here, we have the advantage that the restaurant is closed on Sundays, so I tell them that it will never be open” that day, she insists.

In this other business, road transport this time, the boss has not skimped on the increases for a year. “It was 1995 euros net and today it is 2843 euros. In this Parisian home services agency O2, the salary of carers has just increased by 1 euro per hour, or 120 euros more per month for full-time work. “It’s a start, that doesn’t mean it’s going to end there.
