The WWK Volleys Herrsching have reached the semi-finals in the DVV Cup competition. In the quarter-finals on Wednesday, Max Hauser’s team defeated Helios Grizzlys Giesen 3: 2 (18:25, 20:25, 25:22, 25:17, 15:10) in their own hall after a 0-2 set deficit. In front of the maximum permitted crowd of 250 spectators, Herrschinger, who had recently disappointed in the league, got into the game badly, Giesen put much more pressure on the serve, and the guests scored an impressive 14 aces throughout the game. But Herrsching fought his way back and turned the game around. In the semifinals, the club will travel from Ammersee to SVG Lüneburg, while VfB Friedrichshafen will host the German champions Berlin. The game will be played on December 22nd.
