Criminal police and state security in Middle Franconia are apparently investigating visitors to the AfD state party conference in Greding at the weekend because of xenophobic slogans in a discotheque. According to witness statements, numerous guests celebrated in a discotheque on Bahnhofstrasse. After midnight, a group of around 30 people chanted lines with corresponding content to a song. As the Central Franconia police headquarters confirmed at the SZ’s request, it was the slogan “Germany for the Germans, foreigners out” that was shouted several times.
The operator of the discotheque is said to have influenced the group, reported the police, so that they stopped singing. When asked by the SZ, the operator initially did not want to comment on the incident; he wanted to consult a legal representative before making a statement. He is already in the spotlight because of the party conference, so he has to be very careful. The police were not called in that night. According to witness statements, the Schwabach police and the state security agency initiated the investigation the following day due to initial suspicion of inciting statements.
A member party conference of the Bavarian AfD took place in Greding at the weekend, traditionally in the Hippodrom event hall there. Around 800 members and other visitors were guests, there were board elections and a debate about the controversial fraternity member and state parliament member Daniel Halemba. The case is initially being carried out against unknown persons, but the police have indications that the people were participants in the party conference. These are currently being examined.

Who shows these is the subject of the investigation. The extent to which the chanted slogan itself is justifiable is likely to be subject to an assessment by the public prosecutor. No further details were initially known. In AfD circles there was only talk of “rumors” that there were possibly two MPs. With the formation of the new state parliamentary group in October, a whole series of young male representatives with hard-right views entered parliament. The Junge Alternative in Bavaria is even more targeted by the Office for the Protection of the Constitution than the party as a whole. The security authorities have included the AfD’s offspring in the “Directory of Extremist or Extremist-Influenced Organizations”. There are unofficial connections to the right-wing extremist “Identitarian Movement”, although this is on the AfD’s so-called incompatibility list. According to SZ information, the melodic basis for the slogans was an older song by an Italian DJ. In right-wing radical circles across Germany, it has been common practice for several months now to shout the slogan in question at parties or in dance halls in a flash mob-like manner. This is considered a catchy tune on the subject of remigration, i.e. the strategic deportation not only of foreigners who are obliged to leave the country, but also of other people with a migration background; if necessary by “assimilation pressure”.
