TikTok is both a blessing and a curse. When it comes to food and recipes, you can look forward to an almost endless amount of ideas. Hardly any other social media platform offers so much inspiration for creative, unusual and delicious food creations. New recipes are shared as short clips every minute – most of them with the potential to become the next hit in the home kitchen or a global trend.

The best recipes on TikTok: easy, quick, delicious

If a recipe goes viral, there is almost no way around trying it out. But which ideas are really worth it? In addition to classics like the viral feta pasta – you can find the recipe here – or the Gigi Hadid vodka pasta, there are a few other recipes that are waiting to be tested. They are all simple, quick to make and taste irresistible.

Smashed potatoes – just as good as it sounds

Smashed potatoes are basically nothing more than mashed potatoes. Nevertheless, they impress in terms of taste as they are marinated with plenty of oil, spices and chili. The result: A crispy potato dish that’s a bit reminiscent of a mixture of chips and fries – only better.

Ingredients for two servings


  1. Wash the potatoes, put them in a large pot and cook in lightly salted water for about 25 minutes.
  2. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Peel and press garlic cloves.
  3. In a bowl, mix the olive oil, paprika powder, squeezed garlic cloves, chili flakes and salt and pepper.
  4. Drain the potatoes, pat dry and place on the baking tray. Gently flatten with a fork or potato masher. Spread the marinade generously over the potatoes.
  5. Bake the baking sheet with the smashed potatoes in the oven for about 30 minutes at 220°C top and bottom heat until crispy. After about 20 minutes, optionally spread some Parmesan on the potatoes and bake until golden brown.

What do you think of when you hear the name “Green Goddess Salad”? If it’s an incredibly healthy and green salad, then you’re spot on. Nevertheless, the recipe for this TikTok trend is much more sophisticated than it initially sounds. Sweet, sour, crunchy and served with green pesto – a real treat.

Ingredients for 4 to 6 servings

For the dressing


  1. Wash the white cabbage and cucumber and cut into fine strips. Wash the spring onions, shake dry and cut into fine rings. Put everything in a large bowl.
  2. Peel the garlic and onion. Wash the basil and shake dry. Wash baby spinach.
  3. Place in a stand mixer together with pine nuts, olive oil, the juice of two lemons, salt, pepper and yeast flakes (Parmesan cheese also works). Mix everything until smooth. If necessary, add a little more olive oil.
  4. Add the dressing to the vegetables and mix everything well
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve with tortilla chips.

Breakfast treat: Feta Fried Eggs

Admittedly, the German translation of “Feta Fried Eggs” – crispy feta fried eggs – sounds a bit long-winded, but it best describes what awaits us with this viral TikTok classic: crispy fried egg, coated in aromatic feta cheese, fried in a pan . Preparation is also incredibly easy.

Ingredients for two Feta Fried Eggs


  1. Crumble the feta in a non-stick pan. Push to the edges of the pan and let melt over medium heat.
  2. Add some olive oil to the pan. Crack the eggs into the middle of the cheese. Season with a little pepper and optionally salt.
  3. Place the lid on the pan. Fry the egg over medium heat until the white is firm but the yolk is still slightly runny.
  4. Stone the avocado, remove the flesh from the peel and mash it on a flour tortilla with a fork. Season with lemon juice and salt and pepper.
  5. Place the feta egg on the avocado. Fold the tortilla carefully.
  6. Serve immediately.

So creamy: quick lasagna soup

Lasagna as soup? This not only sounds brilliant, but is THE perfect dinner, especially in winter.

Ingredients for 4 to 6 servings


  1. Peel the onion and garlic and chop finely. Peel and slice the carrots. Clean and chop the celery stalks.
  2. Pour in beef broth.
  3. Heat some olive oil in a large pot. Add the ground beef and fry on the highest level for about 3 minutes, breaking it up.
  4. Reduce heat slightly. Add onion, garlic and vegetables. To sear STH. Add the tomato paste and sauté for another 2 minutes.
  5. Deglaze with the chopped tomatoes and beef broth. Season with salt, pepper, oregano and thyme. Simmer with the lid closed for 20 minutes.
  6. In the meantime, cook the lasagna sheets until al dente according to the package instructions. Rinse with cold water and cut into strips.
  7. Add to the soup at the end of the cooking time. Taste.
  8. Mix the crème fraîche and parmesan.
  9. Serve the soup with the crème fraîche-Parmesan mixture and fresh basil.

Hearty porridge – “Oatsotto”

Oatmeal only tastes sweet? No way – they are just as good as hearty porridge. A culinary reinvention that is somewhat reminiscent of risotto, hence the name “Oatsotto”.

Ingredients for one serving


  1. Peel the onion, cut it into small pieces and sauté it briefly in a pot in a tablespoon of rapeseed oil.
  2. Add the spinach and let it steam briefly until it collapses slightly.
  3. Add the oat flakes to the pot, pour in the vegetable stock and bring to the boil.
  4. Simmer over low heat until desired consistency.
  5. Season to taste with salt, pepper, dried parsley, dried chives and nutmeg.
  6. Heat some oil in a pan. Crack the egg on the edge of a pan and gently slide it in.
  7. Reduce the heat and let the fried egg set for a few minutes. Depending on the desired consistency, turn the egg in the pan and fry on the other side.
  8. Halve the avocado and cut into slices.
  9. Pour the porridge into a bowl. Add the egg and avocado on top and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
