Violinist Mikhail Pochekin in the All Saints’ Court Church – Munich

Who is afraid of Johann Sebastian Bach? Not Mikhail Pochekin. He devotes himself to Bach’s solo repertoire for violin with confidence and natural sound imagination. The violinist documented his own perspective in 2019 with a recording of the sonatas and partitas, which he is now performing in a sparsely attended All Saints’ Court Church. Maybe it’s more of a lack of interest that puts the audience off. There is no reason for this. Even the first bar makes it clear: this violinist doesn’t make any mistakes.
