Sunday evening, the victim’s mother, a resident of Haute-Savoie, raised the alarm after being contacted by kidnappers, reports France bleu Indre-et-Loire. The latter had used his son’s phone, kidnapped a little earlier in the town of Saint-Avertin, where he was staying with his grandparents.
A ransom amounting to several thousand euros
According to the prosecutor, the kidnappers demanded a ransom amounting to several thousand euros. They also sent his mother a photo of the teenager, his face swollen.
Three suspects were finally arrested during the night from Sunday to Monday, in a car. The victim, who was also in the vehicle, had to be taken to hospital. “She showed signs of blows to her face and hands,” reports the prosecutor.
Living in Joué-lès-Tours, the three “indicted have no previous criminal record”, further specifies the prosecutor, adding that “the motive for the facts remains unclear”. “In any case, at this stage,” she points out, “the facts do not appear to be linked to drug trafficking. »
