A trans teen is found dead in a UK park over the weekend. Two 15-year-olds are suspected of murder.

The violent death of a transgender teenage girl in the central English town of Warrington has sparked national outrage. Vigils were to take place in the trans scene in Liverpool and Bristol on Tuesday evening, according to the British news agency PA – events were also planned in London, Glasgow and Leeds.

16-year-old Brianna was stabbed in a park in Warrington over the weekend and then found by passers-by. The police have so far not assumed hate crimes in connection with their gender identity. However, the authority emphasized on Tuesday that they are investigating in all directions. A boy and a girl – both 15 years old – were arrested on suspicion of murder.

Trans people or transgender people are people who do not feel they belong to the gender they were assigned at birth.

A fundraiser website has already received more than £69,000 (more than €78,000) in donations for the families of those killed. On Tiktok she had a number of followers. Her family described the youngster as “strong, fearless and incomparable”.
