Ukraine: Dozens of civilians dead at Kramatorsk railway station

STORY: The fighting in Ukraine after the Russian invasion has been going on since February 24, ie for more than six weeks. Reports of atrocities are piling up. Even if not all events can be verified independently. In Kramatorsk, in the east of the country, at least 39 people are said to have been killed and 87 wounded on Friday after two rockets hit a train station where many refugees were staying. The spokesman for the Kramatorsk administration, Aleksander Kochura, said: “There were many dead and injured here, as well as burning ambulances, police cars and fire engines. The cars were on fire for a long time. It was hell on earth. Everyone had shrapnel injuries. That’s the way from pieces of shrapnel that are scattered around here. And people were injured by these parts. And these parts also killed people. At the moment we can say that almost 40 people were killed here by these metal parts.” Donetsk region governor Pavlo Kyrylenko said that thousands of civilians were in the station when the missile struck, calling it a targeted attack, but Moscow denies that civilians were being targeted.
