It was no different with the death of Queen Elizabeth II, on the occasion of which former Prime Minister Theresa May told an anecdote in front of the House of Commons: “I remember a picnic in Balmoral. The catering arrived, we all helped to close the table cover. I grabbed a piece of cheese, put it on a plate, carried it towards the table. The cheese fell off the plate and I had a split second to decide. I took the cheese, put it on the plate and put it on the table.
