According to a media report, the start of regular production at the Tesla factory in Grünheide near Berlin has been further delayed. Tesla is not allowed to let the first cars off the assembly line for sale until mid-March at the earliest, the RBB reported on Wednesday. The German factory of the US electrician has been built, but not yet approved. The current delay is due to the fact that the authorities are still checking the safety precautions at the factory, it said. Tesla originally wanted to start production in its first factory in Europe last summer. Since the original plans were expanded to include a battery factory, the construction plans were again open to the public in the summer and objections could be submitted. Tesla is currently working on the factory only on the basis of preliminary building permits.
