Scholz announced that he spoke to Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier after his conversation with his Ukrainian colleague Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Both presidents had settled their differences. Selenskyj had invited Steinmeier, Scholz and the federal government to Kyiv.
