Video: Red hats and red noses

STORY: It’s a race, but the aspects of fun and good mood are much higher. Even the layman can see that after a short examination. Because so many red hats on the move, that’s anything but ordinary. Welcome to the traditional St. Nicholas Run in Michendorf near Berlin. Hundreds of enthusiastic participants were at the start, like these: O-TON NIKOLAAUSLAUF PARTICIPANT MICHAEL SCHATZ: “Yes, I’m going to take part in the Nikolauslauf because it’s just a super nice atmosphere here in Michendorf. It’s a fun run because everyone disguised. Lots of red runners all around you, it just looks beautiful. And you don’t always have to just run for best times and times and you can also do something for fun. And I’m looking forward to that today.” O-TON NIKOLALAUF PARTICIPANT BERNHARD SCHULZ FROM STUTTGART: “Well, we’re here because my sister lives here in Berlin, and she has always raved about the run. And now we just let ourselves be persuaded to take part. I have to say the whole atmosphere here is just great.” The start and finish were at the Michendorf community center. And a chocolate Santa Claus waved to all participants. A sweet reward after a happy round through the gray Brandenburg winter.
