Putin and Zelenskyj are committed to the Minsk Agreement – Macron
Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy apparently want to stick to the Minsk Agreement. Both have promised to stick to the agreement, said French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday in Kiev. There he met Selenskyi for talks. Macron was with Putin in Moscow on Monday. There is now an opportunity to make progress in the negotiations, Macron told journalists. One point of the Minsk agreement is negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, moderated by Germany and France, with the aim of ending the fighting between pro-Russian separatists and the army in eastern Ukraine.
The French President announced that both Presidents had promised him that they would continue to adhere to the agreement.
