Formula 1 World Cup: Verstappen dethrones Hamilton
The 24-year-old Dutchman Max Verstappen won the Formula 1 World Championship in Abu Dhabi on Sunday. One of the most exciting season finals in Formula 1 history came to an end and Briton Lewis Hamilton was dethroned. For the first time since 1974, two title contenders entered the last race with the same number of points. And until shortly before the end, the 36-year-old Lewis Hamilton was also on the winning track. But after a safety car phase, Verstappen overtook his opponent on the last lap and made his first world title clear. Max Verstappen has been driving for Red Bull Racing since 2016.
