The left ear is deaf, writes Mark Forster in a story on Instagram. This makes some performances impossible.

pop singer Mark Forster (“Choirs”, “194 Countries”) has canceled his planned concerts in Augsburg, Erfurt and Düsseldorf due to illness. “I have a middle ear infection and my left ear is deaf,” the 41-year-old wrote in a story on Instagram. He also performed in Innsbruck. “I was told very clearly that I shouldn’t do it like that anymore.”

With 14 trucks and countless people involved, the show was so complex that the dates had to be canceled without replacement, wrote Forster. He thanked his fans for all the kind words and understanding.

On the website of the singer from Rhineland-Palatinate, the concerts this Saturday (Augsburg), Sunday (Erfurt) and Monday (Düsseldorf) were shown as “cancelled”. However, the dates on Friday in Graz and next Saturday in Vienna were still active on Saturday evening. Forster wrote his new song “If you call me” for ARD’s EM coverage. He should invoke cohesion and optimism.
