The federal prosecutor had accused the 86-year-old Blatter, who led Fifa for 17 years, of fraud, breach of trust and forgery. The French Platini, who headed the European football association Uefa from 2007 to 2015, was involved in fraud, aiding and abetting infidelity and also forgery of documents.
