Cardinal Marx apologizes for handling abuse cases

As the incumbent archbishop, I therefore ask on behalf of the Archdiocese to apologize for the suffering inflicted on people around the Church over the past few decades. […] The abuse crisis is and remains a deep shock for the church. And the processing and the further way includes the orientation towards the victims of the abuse, the processing of wrong power structures and attitudes.”
Marx reacted to a new external report on sexual abuse in the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising.
