The Bonn Labor Court dismisses a lawsuit brought by former professor Ulrike Guérot against her dismissal. Attempts to interpret the decision politically are misleading.
The group of demonstrators who had gathered on Bonn’s Kreuzbergweg waved posters with slogans such as: “Those who are silent agree” and “Ulrike Guérot, Roger Waters, Gabriele Krone-Schmalz, Daniele Ganser – stop cancel culture.” Inside the labor court it was about the former, who until last year was head of the professorship for European politics at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn. Ulrike Guérot had filed a lawsuit against her dismissal by her former employer because of “appropriation of someone else’s intellectual property” – and had to accept defeat.
