STORY: Around three years after the burglary in the Green Vault in Dresden, investigators have found a significant part of the stolen goods. Police and public prosecutors said investigators had secured a significant part of the stolen property during the break-in into the Green Vault in Berlin on the night of December 16/17. After a sighting, there are 31 individual parts, including several pieces that appear complete, such as the hat decoration and the breast star of the Polish Order of the White Eagle from the diamond set. However, some of the stolen items are also missing, the statement said. The items seized were brought to Dresden, where they are to be examined forensically and for their authenticity and completeness. As the investigators said, the discovery of the valuable pieces preceded exploratory talks with the lawyers of the alleged burglars. Since the beginning of the year, there has been a trial against six suspects in Dresden, including charges of serious gang theft and particularly serious arson.
