The Colombian police have confiscated 2,279 kilograms of cocaine in the port of the northern Colombian tourist city of Cartagena de Indias. The police found the drug packages in a container on the way to Rotterdam in the Netherlands. General Ricardo Alarcon of the drug police: “The drugs came from Ecuador with a destination in Europe. The cocaine should probably be distributed to Turkey, Spain, Italy and Albania.” Irregularities in the documents for the delivery of the goods had aroused the suspicion of the authorities.
