Poland will now be represented twice during the Venice Biennale. The country is politically divided between the supporters of the right-wing nationalist party PiS, which ruled the country for eight years, and the more liberal and cosmopolitan part of society, which elected the new government under Donald Tusk into office last October. This dichotomy will also be evident in the Polish Biennale contributions.
