A ten-year-old boy snaked his way along Interstate 75 in the United States – behind the wheel of an SUV. He had previously stolen the car. According to the police, he wanted to drive it to his mother.
In the US, a ten-year-old stole an SUV and drove it down the freeway. According to the police, he was discovered on Interstate 75 between the cities of Flint and Saginaw in the US state of Michigan.
The incident was a few days ago, as some US media reported on Tuesday.
The child stole the Buick Encore on May 27 in the small community of Buena Vista, where it was parked in front of an apartment building. Several road users then became aware of the little man behind the wheel on the interstate and called the police. The built-in driver assistant OnStar, which is connected to the car, also made an emergency call.

The police spotted the vehicle near an exit and tried to stop it. But the driver, who is not even 1.50 meters tall, made no move to stop the car. Eventually, 911 service disabled the Buick.
Michigan State Police released a 32-second video of the incident on Twitter showing the chase. The police car drives behind the silver SUV with its blue lights and siren on. The car drives in wavy lines on the four-lane highway. Finally he drives onto the hard shoulder and touches the crash barrier. Then he comes to a stop. The video stops as the car’s passenger door opens.
The minor then jumped out of the vehicle and ran away before officers could catch him. The boy was taken to the Saginaw County Juvenile Detention Center. According to reports, he wanted to go to his mother in Detroit, about an hour’s drive away. According to media reports, he was staying with relatives.
