Journalist and author E. Jean Carroll testified in a Manhattan court on Wednesday that former President Donald Trump raped her in the mid-1990s. Trump wasn’t in the courtroom. “I’m here because Donald Trump raped me,” she said, “and when I wrote about it, he said it never happened. He lied and destroyed my reputation. I’m here to try to get my life back .”
