Watch the video: Police bodycam footage shows action against assassins in Louisville.

STORY: The police in Louisville, Kentucky, released a bodycam video on Tuesday showing the action of a young police officer and his instructor. A little later, the police there ended a gun attack in a bank that ultimately cost the lives of six people. Several people were injured, the shooter died at the scene after an exchange of fire with officers. The footage was shown by Louisville Deputy Police Commissioner Paul Humphrey during an afternoon briefing, a day after an Old National Bank employee, 25-year-old Connor Sturgeon, killed five people and wounded nine others – including the two police officers. He streamed a video of the attack live on Instagram. One of the two police officers was hit in the head but survived. He was reportedly in hospital in critical condition. One of the officers finally killed the attacker with one shot. “The response wasn’t perfect, but it was the response we needed. I think I’d love to have one of those two officers by my side any day,” Humphrey said. Louisville Police Commissioner Jacquelyn Gwinn-Villaroel said the gun used by the attacker was legally purchased the week before.
