If there was a single person in the United States who enjoyed watching the chaotic second presidential debate between the Republican candidates late on Wednesday evening, it was probably Donald Trump. As he did the first time, the former president did not take part, and so he once again witnessed how his remaining seven competitors for the Republican nomination continually interrupted each other, attacked each other and without exception gave the impression that they were already candidates of desperation .
