Unterschleißheim – Films from the library – District of Munich

The Unterschleißheim city library now also provides a streaming channel. The library hooks up to “filmfriend”, which can be used to access films, documentaries and series with a library card. Library director Thomas Christoph was pleased to be able to present “a diverse and sophisticated offer” in the streaming sector, which is in high demand. In “filmfriend” there are “always new films and series, but also proven treasures and favorites of national and international television and cinema”. The initial three-year contract period costs a good 9,000 euros. It was planned to start in 2022, but the state of Bavaria has now launched a program that supports such initiatives up to 50 percent, and so the city council’s culture committee decided unanimously to start “filmfriend” immediately.
