Unterföhring: Tempo 30 on the state road – district of Munich

From this week onwards, drivers will have to slow down on the Unterföhring through-pass: On a section of the Münchner Straße, the state road 2053, a speed limit of 30 kilometers per hour applies during the weekday. The Munich District Office, in consultation with the Freising State Building Authority, has set this speed limit in order to make the way to school safer for the pupils of the elementary school on Bahnhofstrasse. Since many children visit the after-school care center after school, the speed limit applies to the section between the day-care center, i.e. coming from the south after the Avia petrol station, to the junction with Bahnhofstrasse, from Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.; the speed limit is suspended during the school holidays.
