Toni Zanussi lost his parents very early and went on cruise ships at a young age. His artistic personality was formed there in the course of countless journeys. New worlds and cultures, encounters and loneliness, work and painting determine his life. The self-taught artist firmly believed in art when he presented his first paintings in a gallery in Nassau in the Bahamas in 1971. Today, the 69-year-old lives and works in Stella di Tarcento, Unterföhring’s partner community, where the doors of his studio in an old farm are always open to interested parties and friends. Until Sunday, July 17, his paintings, sculptures and sculptures that stand for social commitment, peace and hope are on display in the exhibition “L’anima, la terra, il colore – soul, earth color” in the community center in Unterföhring see.
