At the latest when she saw the film “Appollo 13” about the moon mission of the same name in 1997, Paola Breda had happened. At the time, not even ten years old, who had long been interested in stars and planets, the desire to become an astronaut grew. She didn’t become an astronaut. But space has remained her profession – Breda is researching rocket propulsion. The 33-year-old was recently honored by the Bavarian Science Minister Markus Blume (CSU) for her excellent doctorate at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Neubiberg. She now works for a rocket start-up near Heilbronn, which also has a location in Ottobrunn.
