University of the Bundeswehr is particularly founder-friendly – district of Munich

The Bundeswehr University in Neubiberg is one of the most start-up-friendly universities in Germany. This is shown by the current start-up radar of the Stifterverband, which has examined German universities in this regard for the sixth time. According to the press release, in the group of small universities with fewer than 5,000 students, the university has landed among the “top ten” start-up-friendly universities in Germany. Since 2020, the university has set itself the task of building an innovation and start-up ecosystem with the participation of companies, the armed forces, investors, the start-up community and many supporters and mentors. According to the press release, the university is in a very good position, particularly in the areas of anchoring start-ups at the university and start-up support. “We are very pleased that we have been certified for outstanding achievements in the promotion of start-ups,” says Vice President Rafaela Kraus. “But we will not rest on our laurels, we will continue to raise awareness of the topic of founding a company.” At the university in Neubiberg there is, among other things, the entrepreneurship center founders@unibw, through which founders receive extensive support.
